In Northern Ireland, our children sleep soundly at night yet 1.6 billion people in our world don’t have a safe place to rest their head. Families are forced to raise their children in overcrowded conditions with no access to basic necessities such as water and sanitation.
But you can help.
Habitat work where it matters most, at the heart of the communities, offering a ‘hand up’ out of poverty through simple and decent housing.
We believe that shelter is a basic human right. Simple homes save lives. However we can’t do it alone. We are encouraging everyone to open their doors and fundraise £100 within your home, office or school.
Follow our simple steps below to get involved!
Any amount of money raised can help change another person’s life. Let’s open our doors and make a difference.
It can be as simple or creative as you like!
Host a Hooley – whether that’s a dinner party, coffee morning or even a builder’s teabreak, invite your friends, ask for a donation and have great fun in the process.
Movie Night – invite your friends round to watch your favourite film. Ask for a donation and by getting in the popcorn help a family in need of a home.
Bake Off – It’s bake off season! Why not challenge your friends to bake off! Ask for a donation to take part or invite friends to join you as you enjoy the goodies!
