Chile Earthquake - Early on Monday morning, a powerful 8.8-magnitude earthquake struck Chile, destroying hundreds of buildings and killing at least 200 people. While the assessments are just beginning, we know that this devastating earthquake will leave many low-income families homeless.

Habitat for Humanity has worked in Chile for the past 12 years, building more than 3,500 homes. Our staff on the ground there has extensive training in disaster response and is ready to help those affected rebuild their homes and their lives.

Madrid Street Project provides 'hand-up' to home ownership in East Belfast
We are delighted to launch a further local project in Madrid Street, East Belfast. The project will offer a hand-up to homeownership for local families on lower incomes who are prepared to build their own home alongside volunteers as part of Habitat's unique self-build programme.
