A private collector has made available 150 paintings by well known artists to help Habitat for Humanity paint a better future for families in need.
The diverse collection of original Irish Art includes works from Harry Reid, Janet Ross and Robert Bottom.
Valued between £250 and £1000, every painting will be sold for £150 with 50% donated to Habitat, directly supporting Big Build 11 in Romania when volunteers from NI will build 10 homes in 1 week.
The ‘Big Art Sale’ will open to the general public on the evening of Thursday 1st September at Victoria Square Belfast with all 150 paintings available for purchase.
The sale was launched this morning at Habitat’s current build on Templemore Avenue, East Belfast where a team of US volunteers are raising the frames on 6 new homes for local families.
Speaking at the launch, Habitat NI Chief Executive Jenny Williams,
“This is an incredible collection of original Irish Art; for the public it is a really unique opportunity to buy original art at an affordable price and at the same time it will raise essential funds to help families build their way out of poverty.”
