Habitat ReStore is the low-cost DIY store that builds sustainable community, directly tackling poverty here in Ireland. The first ReStores in Europe are delivering real impacts for local people and the wider community in Lisburn, Drogheda, Ballymena, Newry, Newtownards & Belfast. 

Would you like to build confidence, retrain, or even start a new career? Habitat ReStore is offering free, practical and accessible courses accredited by OCN NI. Learn the skills needed to thrive in retail, learn some basic DIY skills or take some time to think about your personal wellbeing.

  • Retail Foundations

    OCN NI Level 1 Award in Retail Business. Gain a recognised qualification designed for learners who wish to develop the skills and knowledge required for working in a range of retail businesses. The course will be ⅓ classroom based and ⅔ practical experience in ReStore.

  • DIY Foundations

    OCN Level 1 Training in Introduction to DIY. Learn some basic DIY skills to help you around your home! This course will teach participants how to wire a plug, put up shelves, build flat pack furniture, use common tools and more!

  • Wellbeing Foundations

    OCN NI Level 1 Award in Wellbeing. This training will enable learners to focus on mental health, emotional well-being and resilience, the factors that may influence these and how to improve well-being and resilience.

  • Employability Foundations

    OCN NI Level 1 Award in Employability Skills. Take some time to develop and refine your CV with support and input from our tutors to make the most out of your background and experience when applying for a new job and develop the skills to prepare for and participate in job interviews.
